First Underworld, released back in 2003, is prettysolid action-horror film. Sequel, Underworld: Evolution expanded theorigin story for these species, while Underworld: Rise of the Lycansserved as prequel, giving us idea how and why the whole grudge betweenvampires and lycans started. Then came 4th film, Awakening, solidconcept but lame execution. Very forgettable film, even for Underworldfans.

Okay.Taking the movie as it is, its purpose and audience in mind, I candefinitely say it delivers: way better than the last one (UnderworldAwakening), Blood Wars is highly entertaining, never boring, extremelyfast-paced and the Selene we have here is less robotic and moredeveloped than we've seen her before.
